1st Doctors Visit

Hello Followers,
Today was our first doctors visit and it went well. When we first got there the nurse came out and said the Dr. had to go deliver a baby. So, we had to wait another 30 minutes, and we went and got some food. When we finally got back the nurse took my blood pressure and my weight. Man am I gaining some weight! When she first took my blood pressure she said it was high but then she switched arms and it lowered. She showed us to the room and she gave us a bag of treats! The bag had vitamens and books about the baby. Dr. Houssel came into the room and he made us feel very comfortable. We asked me how I felt and if we had any questions. Of course, I had TONS of questions. He then did the sonogram on my tummy to see how the baby looked. At first I thought I was going to be emotional when I saw the little guy, but I didn't I was just in aw. It's amazing seeing the little guy inside of me because I don't look pregnant. He's an inch in a half long and the doctor said that was normal. He didn't move around a lot but he's alive. :) Robert and I heard his heart beat and it sounded soo good. The doctor said it was a little fast but that it's nothing to worry about. The clinic gave us a DVD of the ultrasound and Robert is going to try and convert it so we can post it onto the internet. We will see if it works. Our next visit is August 27 @ 4:00. We can't wait to see how much he grows. Maybe we will find out the sex of the baby. :) Right after the visit I called my parents and my dad said the funniest/sweetest thing. I told him when the baby was due, which is February 23, and he said oh he'll be just like me (my dad's birthday is February 19). If any of you now my dad he thinks he's the smartest man on earth, which he is besides Robert. :) He also seems to think it's going to be a boy. He told us to start painting the walls blue. lol. I will post something again after our next appointment.

Hello Followers,
My pregnancy is going well. The only symptom I'm having that is hard to live with is exhaustion. I hope it goes away once school starts so I can make it through the work weeks to come. I went to the HAWC class that Tricare wanted me to attend in order to get a referral off base. The class was very informational and I enjoyed learning about all the things I have to worry about. All they said was things I can/ cannot do during my pregnancy and things that will happen when the baby is born. I think it was a class to scare me and all the other women there. I hope that's not reality because if so then I'm dreading for February to come. j/k The class gave me tons of free informational magazines and pamphlets about the baby. They also gave me the book What to Expect When You're Expecting, which was really generous. Now that I've gone to the HAWC class I will now get my referral, to go off base, in about 13 days. I'm planning on going to the Circle of Life in Ogden, UT. All my friends that I've spoken to have recommended Circle of Life. One thing I'm looking forward to at my first visit is seeing the baby and hearing it's heart beat. The Circle of Life gives me a DVD of each ultrasound, so I can watch Baby B swim around in my tummy. I'm going to another class today and will be getting free stuff! I will post pics of what the cool free stuff I get today. I will also post pictures of my belly each month when Robert gets back from Vegas. I hope everyone is doing great and I love you bunches!

Hello Followers,
Well, this is my first blog and I'm making this blog so my family in Texas can stay informed (and possibly my husband who may go to Afghanistan) with my pregnancy. I hope you guys enjoy! Let me begin by saying that I didn't know I was preggo while I was in Texas. This is a total surprise and I would of never of thought this would happen to me right now. I took a test on Friday, June 18 and it said yes, so I took 7 more and they all said yes. I know I took a ton but it was hard to believe. :) So, then Rob and I went to the hospital on base and they took my blood, and that test said yes as well. So I am indeed pregnant! Pretty weired saying that because I don't feel pregnant. I feel like my normal self. I guess I will feel more pregnant when I start to get the belly. I'm taking my prenatal vitamins everyday and trying to eat more healthy. Keep me in your prayers as I go through his new experience. I don't know if this is accurate but the doctor said the baby would be due in February.
